DRIVE YOU WILD
Love Between the Bases #3
Jennifer Bernard
Releasing June 28th, 2016
Avon Books

It’s game on for love in the third novel of USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Bernard’s sexy, baseball-themed series.

Kilby Catfish left-fielder Trevor Stark is a ballpark legend. With his good looks, hitting records, and played-for-the-fans arrogance, Trevor makes women lose their minds and men lose their cool. But every time the major league team comes calling, Trevor purposely keeps himself in the tiny Texas town. Why is heart-tuggingly top secret. Until the team owner’s daughter comes to Kilby . . . trying everything up her sexy sleeve to make Trevor talk.

Divorced and disillusioned at twenty-four, Paige Mattingly Austin Taylor is suddenly starting fresh as an intern at Catfish Stadium. She should want nothing to do with the sinfully hot ballplayer her dad warned her to stay away from. But when she discovers what Trevor is hiding from everyone, she realizes there’s much more to him than his face and multi-million-dollar arm. There’s a heart she seriously hopes to win.

DRIVE YOU WILD by Jennifer Bernard is another great addition to the sexy and fun Love Between The Bases series. Set in the world of minor league baseball, this story really packs an emotional punch as well as tugs at the heart-strings.
In the previous books, Trevor was kind of an arrogant jerk, but there is a method to his madness. One of the best players on Kilby Catfish team, he always sabotages himself when the major league he has signed with has their eyes on him and are ready to call him up. It's always more disciplinary than playing and he is famous for pulling stunts on and off the field.
Unfortunately, he has a few secrets that were foisted on him when he was a teen and they are dangerous. That's when you discover how special and loyal he really is, and how hard the burden he carries weighs on him.
Paige saves his butt outside the stadium one night and sparks fly between them instantly. Soon after, he discover's that the feisty woman he met is the manager's daughter, so it's hands off in his mind. Funny how that doesn't seem to work. As Trevor and Paige get to know each other, they find that there are some people you can trust and put your faith in. Time after time, she proves to Trevor that she has his back and that he is worthy of a good life experiencing all of his dreams coming true.
Though the story has some serious moments, it also has Ms Bernard's signature brand of humor and sexy sizzle. There are plenty of laughs and the story has great secondary characters. Though neither were looking for love, you cheer when Paige and Trevor get their chance of a happily ever after. This engaging story is another home run for Jennifer Bernard!

Are you afraid of the mighty Crush Taylor?” She took another step closer. “He’s not as bad as he seems, you know.”
I’m not afraid of him.” He placed his hands on her shoulders to keep her from coming any closer. Her warmth carried into his skin, into his being, as if it was igniting him from within.
And I’m not afraid of you.” She ducked underneath his hands in a quick move right out of the NBA. He took a step back and his calves hit the bench situated next to the lockers. She reached out in apology and suddenly they were right smack against each other, chest-to-chest.
Fire flashed down his spine, hot and urgent. He hauled her against him—oh, sweet Lord, she felt good. Soft and firm and shapely and alive and fresh and . . . then her mouth was under his, her lips parting, her breath warm, her flesh lush and sweet. It wasn’t a kiss so much as a head rush.

Paige posted the first series of “Baseball’s Hottest Outfield” photos on the team’s Facebook page the next day. A few hours later a thousand people had clicked Like. Not only that, but the viewership of the page soared. It was shared all over the Internet, on Pinterest, on Twitter, on Instagram. It wasn’t just that the three men were criminally gorgeous. A big part of the appeal came from their racial mix and the blend of personalities. Trevor the stone-cold badass, Dwight the dynamic charmer, and Shizuko, the soulful rock star.
Paige knew it was all a crock, of course. Trevor wasn’t stone cold, Dwight wasn’t playful all the time, and Shizuko could outcrude most of the clubhouse, and that was saying something. But once those identities became set, people loved them. They were like cartoon characters instead of real people.
At the next game, the crowd roared when the outfielders took their positions on the field. Fans held up even more signs than they normally did. From the owner’s box, Paige scanned the crowd with her binoculars and read the signs out loud to Crush.
“ ‘Kilby Hearts Baseball’s Hottest Outfield.’ Thank you very much, we heart you too! ‘We make ’em hot in Kilby, Texas.’ That might be taking a little too much credit. None of them are from here.”

GETTING WOUND UP
A Sapphire Falls/Love Between the Bases Crossover Novel
Jennifer Bernard & Erin Nicholas
Releasing April 12th, 2016
(Previously Released in Three Parts)
EN Fiction, Inc.

Caitlyn Murray has never let on that she's had fantasies about her brother's friend Eli Anderson for years. She'd do anything for the sexy baseball player who walked away from stardom to stay in Sapphire Falls and take care of his family. But she and Eli are friends. Just friends.

So when her brother hatches a plan to get Eli to the pro baseball try-out for the Kilby Catfish and another chance at his dream, Caitlyn is all in. After all, what's a little kidnapping among friends?

A spot on the pitcher's mound for the Catfish isn't the only tempting thing about the spontaneous road trip. Eli already knows that Caitlyn is as sweet as the candies she makes for the Sapphire Falls bakery, but alone with her overnight in the tiny motel room in Kansas, it's impossible to resist the urge to take a little taste.

But when that taste leads to falling for the girl next door just as his front door is moving hundreds of miles away, can Eli really have it all? Or do they have too many strikes against them?

Caitlyn felt her stool being swiveled. She came face-to-face with Eli.
“Eli, what—”
He cupped the back of her head and covered her mouth with his.
It didn’t last long. At least, it didn’t last long enough, in her opinion. But it was … amazing. Yes, that was definitely the word for the day.
“Did you really memorize each of my tryout pitches?” he asked, resting his forehead against hers.
She nodded, unable to speak. Because she’d also memorized the feel of his lips against hers. And she wanted to keep reliving it.
 “Thank you,” he said quietly.
“For memorizing them?” she managed to ask.
“For caring.”
She melted a little at that. “I can’t help it.”
She immediately bit her lip. Crap. She had to stop with the slips. On this one she could blame her kiss-muddled brain, but …
Hey, he’d kissed her.
“You kissed me,” she said softly, pulling back just enough to look up at him.
“I did.”
She couldn’t help but let her gaze drop to his mouth.
“And I want to do it again.”
Her eyes flew back to his.
“There is really something sexy about you knowing all about pitching and every detail of my tryout and believing in me so adamantly.”
Oh boy, she really wanted to kiss him again. Or have him kiss her. However, whatever, it took to get his mouth on hers.
“Then I overheard you talking to Bryan. You really do think I’m amazing. You aren’t just saying that to me.”
“I’ve always thought you were amazing,” she said.
He pulled her close and lowered his head. “Yeah, the wanting to kiss you isn’t new either.”
And then he was.
It was so much more than the spontaneous good-luck kiss. It was even more than the one just a minute ago. This one was much more … intentional.
His lips moved over hers slowly, deliberately, as if he was savoring her. After only a few seconds she was clinging to him, his shirt fisted in her hands, her back arching as she tried to get closer.
Caitlyn felt his hand move to the back of her neck, holding her in place as he tasted her, his tongue sliding along her lower lip and then in against her tongue when she sighed.
When he finally lifted his head, she swore that she could still feel his tongue on hers. And in a few other places it hadn’t actually been.
“Whoa,” she breathed out.
He nodded. “Yeah.”
“We should … ”
“Stop.”
“Do that again.”
They spoke at the same time and stopped at the same time.
He let go of her and stepped back.
“You think we should stop,” she said, trying not to show just how disappointed she was.
“You think we should keep going?” He looked a little stunned at that.
“I think I need another shot.” She raised her hand and signaled the waitress.
She was definitely going to need another, because she’d just made a life-altering decision. Do or die. All or nothing. Play hard or go home.
 Gulp.
