I loved this book! There is nothing better than a breezy friends to lovers story. Adelaide is best friends with Dempsey Reynaud and more than works for him, she's his right hand man. Dempsey is a wealthy football coach who is like a sexy box of chocolates to the stream of beautiful women that pass through his life. He's been living the dream through hard work and enjoying the rewards. Foolish man, he also has taken Adelaide for granted.
     Adelaide is smart and talented in her own right and has researched going into business for herself to start going after her dreams. She gives Dempsey her notice. A lightbulb goes off in his head and he blindsides Adelaide into their engagement which he announces to the world. He doesn't want to lose her because he needs her for his team.
     Soon the sparks fly. He makes promises to help her if she sticks it out. She will stick it out, but her growing feelings for him are making it difficult. I loved the tension between Adelaide and Dempsey as they both start falling for each other. They must decide what is real. How can a lie bring someone together? Adelaide doesn't need his money and is the one person who wants him for himself. Dempsey realizes what he nearly lost in his neglect to their friendship. They are two fun and sexy characters who can grab the brass ring if they are willing to give their "fake" relationship a chance. This is a sassy and fun story well written by Joanne Rock and part of the Bayou Billionaire series co-authored with Catherine Mann. You will meet Dempsey's brothers and their loves in the other books.  Enjoy!
