About The Book:

An Old Flame

Cassie Armstrong has plenty to atone for. The daughter of the most immoral researcher ever to pick up a scalpel, she's determined to use her own brilliance in genetics to repair the damage her family has done to the paranormals. Especially Dante, the first of the phoenixes, the one they call the Immortal. He's been haunting her dreams since she was a little girl, and she's been trying to ease his pain for almost as long. If only he remembered any of it. . .

Dante doesn't know what Cassie's story is. He almost doesn't care. The minute he sees her, all he can think is mine. But there's more to the pretty little doctor than meets the eye. And Dante isn't the only one to notice. He can't trust her, but he can't stay away--and if he wants to learn her secrets, he's going to have to fight like hell to keep them both alive. . .

Review Time:

This is the third book in the Phoenix Fire series written by one of my favorite and very prolific authors, Cynthia Eden. Whether it's suspense, erotic  or paranormal, Eden always gives you a great reading experience.
Each book in this series has been concurrently in the same time frame and should be read in order. I didn't know how I was going to feel about Dante, he is dark and deadly and dangerous. His kind, the Phoenix, don't even mix well and if they die, they lose their memory when they return and can be very violent. Add to the mix the fact that Dante and other different paranormals that were imprisoned by Cassie's evil father and brother and were experimented on and tortured. I guess I would be crazed, too. Cassie is a doctor, but she is trying to help those her family wronged. She cares for Dante, but he does not trust and as this story progresses a lot of questions will be answered. Eden's writing is smart and the story is fast paced and exciting. Do yourself a favor and  read this series!

Thank you for joining us this week. What are your favorite authors and series? We love hearing from you. Don't forget to stop by my fellow bloggers and see what they picked for their Free Day pick.
I was given an ARC by the publisher thry NetGalley for an honest review.

  1. I need to finish this series. I loved the first one but it got away from me for the other two. Now you make me what to read them.
