You will enjoy this sweet Christmas novella with lots of fun, great characters, and romance and you will love NFL star Derrick and sweet Holly. This is a feel good story filled with warmth and heart as well as a sense of small town community. The lead characters bring Christmas happiness to a special unselfish little boy while they fall in love during the magic of the Christmas season. I have never read a story by Ms Brannagh before, but I will be looking to pick up stories on her backlist.

She sat down at the table and got to work, making
notes on places she could start looking for Michael and his family. The
printing on Michael’s letter looked more like a junior high student’s than a
child in elementary school; she could call the principal later today. Noel’s
Santa Claus was a friendly, retired gentleman who’d been doing the job for
twenty years now. The kids who had come to see him in previous years were now
bringing their own kids, and he remembered them all. The owner of Noel’s candy
shop knew a lot of local children too. There had to be more places that kids
hung out in this town besides the playground in the town square. She’d ask her
grandma later if she had any more ideas.

Julie Brannagh has been writing since she
was old enough to hold a pencil. She lives in a small town near Seattle, where
she once served as a city council member and owned a yarn shop. She shares her
home with a wonderful husband, two uncivilized Maine Coons and a rambunctious
chocolate Lab.
When she’s not writing, she’s reading, or
armchair-quarterbacking her favorite NFL team from the comfort of the family
room couch. Julie is a Golden Heart finalist and the author of contemporary
sports romances.
I love her books. This one is a now a favorite of mine. Love them as a couple.
