Review for Paige Tyler: Animal Magnetism

Book#1 Alaskan Werewolves
By Paige Tyler
Available now

ANIMAL ATTRACTION was originally published in 2008. It was an EPIC Award Finalist, was chosen as BEST BOOK of 2008 at Long and Short Reviews, and received amazing reviews. When I got the rights back from the publisher a little while ago, I decided to revise and rework the story, adding in new characters, a new story arc, and more suspense, action and adventure, which turned the original novella into a full-length novel, and I think made it even better. Hope you enjoy it!

Not only are werewolves real, but they're damn hunky, too.

Frustrated when none of the real newspapers will hire her as a reporter, Eliza Bradley takes the only job she can get at a paranormal magazine. Her first assignment takes her to Fairbanks, Alaska to investigate the possibility that a werewolf has killed two local hikers.
Eliza forgets about the story, however, when she meets Hunter McCall, a local college professor and an expert on wolves. The man is an absolute hunk, and she finds herself spending more time in his bed than worrying about werewolves. That is, until she finds out that Hunter isnt just an animal in the sack, hes an animal out of it, too - of the werewolf variety! Talk about a complicated relationship!
But Eliza cant dwell on Hunters little shapeshifting issues. Theres another werewolf out there with a taste for human blood, and she and Hunter are the only ones who can stop him.

My Review:

This series is off to a great start! Eliza finds herself having to take a writing job for a paranormal tabloid and ends up in Alaska with her photographer partner, looking for a rogue werewolf. Eliza doesn't believe a word of it, but she begins to nose around town after 2 residents have been killed 30 miles apart. Local law enforcement is cooperative and she also is helped by Hunter, a professor who studies wolves. He is also the hunk that Eliza met at a small diner over a bottle of ketchup and thought she would never see again. Hunter has secrets, but he does help Eliza and the law when more deaths occur.
Eliza and Hunter have great chemistry and I thought this story was sexy and fast paced. I wonder who the next story will be out. I'm looking forward to the next book. I'm sure shifter fans will enjoy this one!

I was given an ARC of this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

  1. Love her books! I need to read this one. I'm reading an ARC of Her Lone Wolf right now :)
