My Review:

They sure do things different down south. This is one of the craziest stories I have ever read. Carlene find's the panties of a size 2 woman in her husband's briefcase. She knows he must be cheating because Carlene made those panties at her own lingerie shop. So she seeks revenge by entering the Chili Cook-off, something the cheat Lenny has been winning for years. Battle-lines are drawn by the townspeople, the church people, and by gender.
Some of the people are hilarious, some are irritating, and Lenny, and his mother are just awful people, but that is what is fun in the story. I can picture this as a TV movie or an episode of Hart To Hart on the CW.
I just wish Carlene would have put Lenny and his nasty mother in their place better. His mother was vicious. Carlene only wanted 2 things from Lenny, not the house or anything but her business and her family heirlooms, but he and his mother couldn't even be decent about that. Otherwise, the story was fun.

In small-town Cadillac, Texas, Carlene Lovelle and her cousins' fancy panty business, Bless My Bloomers, is booming. But irony strikes when Carlene discovers another woman's silk bikini underwear in her husband's briefcase. Lenny Joe hasn't just crossed the line, he's left it in his dust, so Carlene's taking her revenge to the kitchen.

For ten years, Lenny Joe's team has dominated Cadillac's Red-Hot Chili Cook-Off. But with Carlene's Bless My Bloomers team now in the ring, it's anyone's game—and when there's pride and food involved, things are bound to get messy
