SHE’S TOO GOOD TO BE BAD
A bad-boy member of an elite Special Ops team, Mercer has never been assigned an undercover mission he couldn’t complete. But when his latest job requires him to gain the trust—and get into the bed—of his newest target, the sexy, fiery Colonel’s daughter, he has a whole new challenge ahead of him. All evidence points to her being a traitor to the country he’s sworn to protect, but the crackling desire between them is too strong a feeling to ignore…

HE’S TOO BAD TO RESIST
Zoe has always kept her secrets close to the vest. The only woman in a decorated military family, she’s been taught that to let someone close is to flirt with disaster. But when the dangerously handsome, alpha-strong Mercer comes blazing into her life full-speed, it’s all Zoe can do to resist his wicked seduction. As danger circles closer, Zoe must decide if she can trust him to protect her—but there’s no way he could be bad when he makes her feel this good…

This was a pretty good and exciting romantic suspense story by an author who is new to me. Mercer is a special-ops man who is set to seduce Zoe, to find out if she is the betraying soldiers overseas for profit. Zoe is a colonel's daughter and sister to a soldier, so she knows a lot about the military. She is being set up to take the fall and the reasoning is chilling and filled with betrayal.

The story is filled with a lot of action and plenty of sexual sparks between Zoe and Mercer. Their scenes together are plenty hot, so Mercer is torn when his gut tells him that Zoe is innocent. It bugged me a little that Mercer wants to bed Zoe for information. He's being a patriot and taking one for the team, but if it were the other way around, Zoe would be called a lot of unflattering names.

The story is filled with lots of twists and turns. It is hard to decipher the innocent from the guilty. There is gut wrenching sadness when someone would betray their country and its soldiers for power and cash. This is the first in a series, so the ride isn't over yet. I can't wait for another in this exciting new series.
