My Pick For May-Read a Contemporary Romance:

Published December 2014

It’s Christmas time in Sapphire Falls!

At least one good thing has come from Levi Spencer's car accident-- it seems to have knocked some sense into him. He's ready to leave his wild Vegas playboy ways behind and become a new man. And he knows just the place to do it... his brother Joe's new hometown. He's never spent time in a place described as quaint or idyllic, and now he intends to revel in every charming, sweet thing he can find. Like the homegrown country girl his brother sets him up with for the Christmas formal.

Kate Leggot wants just one great Christmas. After a childhood without Christmas at all and three failed attempts to find the seasonal magic on her own, she agrees to spend the holiday with her friend Phoebe in Sapphire Falls. The Christmas-crazy town is a far cry from San Francisco and Kate quickly finds herself drawn into everything from the snow to the hot cocoa. And, of course, the sweet country boy Phoebe has set her up with for the formal. Looks like she's going to get everything she wanted-- and more-- under the tree this year.

A not-so-little mix-up, a hot kiss under the mistletoe and a candy cane or two later and December in Sapphire Falls has never been so hot.

Last month,I was able to review a title by Jennifer Bernard and Erin Nicholas called GETTING WOUND UP,a novella where the two authors seamlessly crossed over their contemporary small town series, Love Between The Bases and Sapphire Falls.I have been a fan of Ms. Bernard for a long time but I hadn't tried a book by Ms Nicholas before, even though I own a few. I enjoyed their story so much that I decided to check out another novella in the Sapphire Falls, GETTING IN THE SPIRIT.
Levi is at a crossroads in his life after being in a serious accident and decides to take brother Joe up on an invitation to spend the Christmas holidays in the small town where his brother now lives. The brothers were both raised in Vegas and were wealthy and wild. Levi's brother is now married and living in Sapphire Falls. Kate is from San Francisco and has never celebrated Christmas. Her friend Phoebe, Levi's sister-in-law,invites her for the holidays. Joe and Phoebe set the two visitors up...with other people from the small town, but Levi and Kate meet each other instead, thinking they are each from the small town.
They hit it off with a bang! The story is breezy and sassy, and a little naughty and you can't help falling in love with Levi and Kate despite the mix-up. I adored the spoiled Levi who was ready for a change in his life. Kate was a nice woman who never thought she could fall for a city boy again. These two strike sparks off of each other. I will now think of candy canes in a different way. GETTING IN THE Spirit is a sexy sweet time and I can't wait to read more in this fun series!

Don't forget to stop by my good friends and fellow bloggers blog to see how they cleared of their shelves.
