Book Club Thursday: Reading Challenge for June 2015

Hi and Welcome Back to this weeks meeting of Book Club Thursday. My friends and I have each selected a title for the June Reading Challenge. My pick is: A Book I Can Read In A Day. And the title for my pick is: Necessary Force by D. D. Ayres.

What's Inside The Book:
It was supposed to be a sexy calendar shoot to raise money for K-9 service dogs. Photographer Georgie Flynn never expected to break all her personal rules and jump into bed with one of the hunky men posing. And after their steamy night together, she certainly never expected to see him again…despite their powerful connection.

When she's targeted by a stalker and possible bomber, Georgie finds that her gorgeous one-night stand is the only one who can help.

Brad Lawson, an FBI operative, and his K-9 bomb sniffing partner are assigned to protect the pretty photographer--and this time, he’s determined to keep things professional. He just didn't count on their explosive connection rekindling. But with a deadly threat on the horizon, will he be able to keep his body’s demands in check and complete his mission?

My Review

This novella is the prequel to the K- 9 Rescue Series. Georgie Flynn is a photographic journalist who comes under suspicion by the FBI in regards to a crazed bomber. There she meets FBI agent Brad, a person she had a one-nighter with a small-time back, only he used a different name. The story is strong, like the connection between Georgie and Brad, as they hurry to find the bomber before he strikes again and it moves at a brisk pace. It is easily one of my favorite stories this year. D. D. Ayres is an author to look out for.

I can't wait to see what my friends picked. Don't forget to stop by their BCT Blogs and take a look. Visit us again next week, June 18th, when we will be giving away an E-book copy of my selection: NECESSARY FORCE.
