THE TROUBLE WITH SEXY: Virtual Book Tour for Codi Gary- Review & Excerpt

The Trouble With Sexy
By: Codi Gary
Releasing February 10, 2015
Avon Impulse

BLURB:
Previously appeared in the anthology Kiss Me.

Fact: Ryan Ashton has never been the hottest girl in the room.

Prim and proper doesn't really lend itself to sexy, but Ryan's okay with that. She's come to terms with her perpetual single status. Or at least she would have, if it weren't for her deliciously gorgeous boss.

Fact: Gregg Phillips is sex on a stick.
And Ryan knows that if she wants him to sit up and take notice of her, she's gotta take a chance … and ditch the frumpy librarian look she's been rocking for way too long. It's gonna take a whole new wardrobe and the help of the local sex kitten to make it happen, but Ryan's up for it. After all, true love is worth the trouble—and that's a fact.

MY REVIEW:

This is a cute and sexy novella. You have the slightly awkward and old fashioned heroine named Ryan who has a crush on her sexy friend and boss, Greg. Being tired of her non existent love life, she asks Greg point blank if he thinks she's sexy...and he takes a little too long to answer. This leads to her gathering her courage and asking the sexy Gracie for a makeover and their scenes will have you laughing. There is such great chemistry between  Ryan and Greg who are such likable characters. Ryan just needed a little more self confidence and she didn't know that Greg had feelings for her too.  Greg is hot and sexy and soon they act on all the passion that they have been carrying for each other. He also shows Ryan the perfect answer to her earlier question. I haven't read anything by Codi Gary before, and I can't wait to read more by her. This story was a fun blend of spicy and sexy with a lot of likable characters.

Excerpt #9

Loud music hummed in her head as the first brush of his kiss made her eyes flutter closed. The music and cheers drained away, and all she'd been aware of was the taste of Gregg, the feel of his tongue as it swept inside to play with hers, and the rough hand that cupped her cheek. She swayed toward his warmth and could have stayed like that forever if he hadn't pulled back.

Her eyes had been unwilling to open and break the spell his kiss weaved over her, until his voice broke through her daze. "Happy New Year, Ryan."
