It's Christmas Time at Book Club Thursday!

Hi everyone. The holidays are here and it is time to snuggle up with a nice read. It is also time for another edition of Book Club Thursday where my friends and fellow bloggers  select a story and review it. We look forward to hearing from readers and hope you share your thoughts on the books, too.

My Review:
This is a great little feel-good Christmas novella. Rachel joins her brother Ty at Nate Vaughn's Bar V 5 ranch. Besides being a rancher in Copper Mountain Montana, Nate also is a successful businessman and he wants to help Rachel succeed in her dreams of opening her own baking business. Rachel has just been burned by people she trusted, so she keeps him and his ideas at arms length, at least at first.  At first, his idea Operation Hansel and Gretel is to keep Rachel in Montana so that his best friend and partner Ty doesn't move away. Ty loves his little sister and doesn't want her hurt further and warns his friend to keep his distance.  Both Nate and Rachel are attracted to each other , but when Rachel finds out about Nate's  original ulterior motive, she leaves his ranch. In his heart, Nate realizes he has found the woman he wants to make a life with, and for Christmas, he shows Rachel the possibilities of a wonderful future.
All in all, this was a sweet and cozy read for the holidays.
This is also a small group of other Copper Mountain novellas. Ms McClone has another smaller novella Mistletoe Magic in this group as well as a few other authors contributing stories you might want to try. Jane Porter offers Christmas at Copper Mountain and author Katherine Garbera wrote A Cowboy For Christmas. I haven't read them, but I hope to soon.

BLURB:

Ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Rachel Murphy loves the scent of gingerbread baking almost as much as she enjoys creating custom edible houses at Christmastime. But she needs a bigger kitchen if she wants to make the most of her impromptu holiday business.
Enter Nate Vaughn, handsome venture capitalist turned Montana dude ranch owner and her brother’s boss. Nate’s commercial kitchen is perfect for the baker. And he thinks she might be perfect for him…as a business partner.
After being burned by a celebrity baker, Rachel’s wary of Nate’s interest in her gingerbread houses, not to mention his mistletoe kisses. She should leave the Bar V5 ranch and return to Arizona. Or can Nate convince her she’s already home?
